Overtime
Overtime exists only as a recorded entry — date, hours, reason — approved by HR or a manager. A payroll run pays approved entries only, at the configured hourly rate; pending or rejected hours pay exactly zero, and nobody can approve their own overtime.
Record overtime
Entries start as pending. The rate itself lives in Settings → Payroll config — an unconfigured rate pays Rs 0 and is flagged on the run, never silently invented.
